New Licenses
Camber's licensing scheme is simple and reasonable. Our software licenses entitles you to perpetual use, and includes 12 months maintenance (updates and support) commencing from the date of purchase. FIRST™ will continue to evolve via frequent and significant updates. Our active software maintenance program will ensure you continue to receive all the latest software updates during the 12 month maintenance period. Camber's support is available to you via our online support system and telephonic support.
Maintenance Renewals
Software maintenance renewals commence from the expiration of your active software maintenance period, regardless of the date of purchase, so renewing early is the best way to maximize the value to your organization. For example, if you were to renew 60 days after your software maintenance expiration, the renewal will be back dated, effectively wasting the software maintenance days already past. Starting the process today helps us help you. The same logic also allows you to order your maintenance renewal early.
Hosted Licenses
Camber's Enterprise Hosting makes it easy for organizations without the time or the administrative resources by providing the FIRST™ software and the hosting. We setup your entire system and act as your admin support — from the setting up the server, installing the operating system, creating an instance of FIRST™, and establishing an IP link to your domain name. Our hosting service provider guarantees 100% up-time network, and access. Your instance of FIRST™ will be available 24x7 and, there are no hosting hardware or license costs. The Hosted License also includes a dedicated instance of FIRST™, SSL, and automatic software updates.
Licenses Upgrades
Licensees can upgrade to a City, County, District, Region, or State license at any time. All data is seamlessly upgraded. Upgrades include 12 months of software maintenance.
Licensing Terms
A FIRST™ license entitles you to:
* Deploy a single instance of FIRST™ in a production environment on 1 server accessible by the number of users licensed
* Unlimited number of resources (units, personnel, equipment, training, ordanance, etc.)
* Perpetual FIRST™ use
* Software maintenance for 12 months - including all updates and online support (during local business hours)
Licensing fees are quoted per total number of FIRST™ users. A FIRST™ user is by definition any user account in the FIRST™ system with the 'use' permission, i.e. anyone who can view and or edit the site while logged in.
